Teacher, adult-educator, preacher, writer, father (of two teens), husband (of 21 years), surfer, and lover of mountains.

I grew up learning the simple values of working hard, appreciating nature, and realized that living happens in the mind first.

Becoming a Christian at age 17, and leaving home at the same time, life presented a growing number of widening landscapes.  I spent a number of years in teacher training, where I met Sheree, my future life partner, and made my first steps towards learning, teaching and preaching about Jesus Christ.

For the next seven years I took on many different roles - school principal, teacher, youth leader, singing group director, musician, new father (two children born 1984 and 1986).

We moved to a new state in 1987, and a new chapter of life began - starting my own business, disenchantment with religion and organized "church", leaving paid employment, a growing family and it's increasing needs! 

Through many experiences, and a wide variety of roles - truck driving to educational consultant -  life has brought me to the richness of "mid-life" crisis stage of my mid-40s, where I have stepped into full-time ministry at a local community church where I am learning the role of an "Education Pastor."  My calling is to teach the simple Gospel to as many people in a variety of ways.

I look forward to where God leads in the future, and place my trust in Him, praying for courage to be obedient to His calling.
