This is what Olive has to say about herself:

I was born in Sydney and lived there till the mid 1970s when I moved to Bega on the Far South East Coast of Australia with my late husband George.

I spent 35 years in the nursing profession but writing has been a vital part of my leisure time. Any scrap of paper will do and for any reason - articles, stories and letters.

The life of the Church has always been important to me but in early years I became convinced that Jesus taught "you must be born again" of the Spirit of God. This truth has been the underlying strength which has shaped my life.

I worship at the Bega Uniting Church.

The following two verses mean a great deal to me:

I was young, now I am old; yet have I never seen the righteous forsaken, (Psalm 37:25)

and

The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.
(Deut. 33:24)
